Russian Deputy FM, Uzbek envoy discuss developing relations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- First Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Andrei Denis met the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Russia Ilkhom Nematov on request of the Uzbek side, the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Russia said on 28 August.

Thpe sides discussed issues of developing the Russian-Uzbek relations and interaction of the Russia within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

Russian official congratulated the Uzbek envoy with the 18th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence and the 2,200th anniversary of Tashkent city.

The Russian ministry said the meeting was held in friendly atmosphere, typical for the Russian-Uzbek relations, which is based on strategic partnership and allied relations.
