Russia defeats Egypt

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Russia moved to the brink of a second round place with a 3-1 victory over Egypt in their Group A match.

Ahmed Fathi scored an own goal on 47 minutes of the match. On 59 minutes, Denis Cheryshev scored his third goal in the tournament.

Twelve minutes later Artem Dzyuba helped Russia to take their tournament goal tally to eight in two games.

Mohamed Salah pulled one back from a penalty on 73 minutes of the game.
