Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 19 June, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived on a working visit to the Kashkadarya region.
The economic reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan are yielding tangible results across all key sectors. In particular, during the first five months of this year, national industrial production grew by 6.4 percent, with export volume in the sector surpassing US$6 billion. Kashkadarya plays a significant role in these achievements, as the region sees the rapid development of modern high-tech enterprises.
One such enterprise is the “Alp Texno Servis” plant in the city of Karshi. Backed by US$10 million in investments, the project has been integrated into the global supply chain in the electrical engineering sector. The plant manufactures products for international brands such as “TCL” and “Hofmann,” while also developing its own brand, “Smart.”
The factory produces up to half a million televisions and electronic boards annually. Its products feature advanced technology, contemporary design, and comply with international quality standards. Around 70 percent of output is export-oriented. In 2024, foreign sales exceeded US$2 million, and an ambitious target has been set for the current year — to reach US$10 million.
During his visit to the facility, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of further increasing export capacity and diversifying the product range.
“We have already gained the necessary experience and entered foreign markets. Now it is important not to slow down but to move forward. We must continuously improve quality and expand our product line in order to remain competitive,” the head of state noted.
Particular attention is being paid to localization. At present, the localization level at the enterprise exceeds 50 percent. There are plans to implement four new projects worth US$20 million, aimed at producing vacuum cleaners, electric kettles, air conditioners, and fans. These initiatives are expected to boost annual export revenue to US$30 million.
Currently, the company employs 200 staff. To ensure the training of qualified specialists, a dual education system has been introduced in partnership with Karshi State Technical University.
