Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The Taliban carried out a special operation to detain individuals who launched a missile attack on Termez on 5 July 2022. This was announced by the representative of the administration of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Zabiullah Mujahid.
According to him, the terrorists of the "Islamic State" were found by terrorists in the province of Kunduz in the Imam Sahib region.
During the assault, three terrorists were eliminated. Another five terrorists were taken prisoner.
The operation also resulted in the seizure of ammunition, weapons and vehicles.
One of the detainees confirmed that they had attacked Uzbekistan and planned to continue attacks in the future.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, on 5 July 2022, at about 4:20 p.m. in the border area of Uzbekistan, the fall of five rockets, presumably flown from the territory of Afghanistan, was noted.
When the shells fell, there were no explosions, as a result of which there were no human casualties and no destruction. Minor damage was caused to four private houses in the mahalla "Majnuntol" in Termez, the fifth projectile was found on the football field. The discovered shells were neutralized by a sapper unit.
