Uzbekistan starts exporting shoes to the USA

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- In 2020, the geography of exports of footwear produced in Uzbekistan has expanded. Now the USA, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Latvia and Moldova have opened the markets for our products, the press service of Ozcharmsanoat (Uzbek Leather Industry) reported.

According to the State Customs Committee, since the beginning of the year, 23 million 656 thousand pairs of shoes have been supplied for US$27.98 million. As a result, exports increased by 91% compared to the same period in 2019.

At the same time, imports of footwear fell by almost 74% due to the expansion of production.
