Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data, in January-February 2019 Uzbekistan enterprises produced industrial production worth 44.1 trillion. soums, the index of industrial production for the same period of last year was 7.2%. This was reported by the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
The main factor behind the growth in total industrial production was an increase in production in the mining industry and quarrying by 4.3%, manufacturing - by 8.0%, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning - by 6.9%, water supply, sewerage , waste collection and disposal - by 9.4%.
The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying enterprises in January-February 2019 amounted to 8.1 trillion soums, or 18.3% of the total industry.
Compared to the same period of last year, there has been an increase in natural gas production by 4.2% and gravel - by 2.0 times. At the same time, coal production decreased by 25.2%, oil - by 5.3%, gas condensate - by 2.5%, crushed stone - by 29.7%.
Manufacturing enterprises in January-February 2019, produced goods for 32.0 trillion soums, or 72.5% of the total industry.
In the structure of the manufacturing industry, as compared with the corresponding period of the previous year, the share of high-tech industries was 1.3% (1.5% in January-February 2018), medium-high-tech - 28.9% (27.6%), medium-low-tech - 33.1% (30.2%) and low-tech - 36.7% (40.7%).
In the total volume of industry, the share of enterprises for the production, repair, assembly of machinery and equipment, production of cars, trailers, semi-trailers and other finished products reached 17.1% (growth by 21.6% compared to January-February 2018), the share of the metallurgical industry - 13.4% (7.9%), enterprises for production of textile, garment and leather products - 13.3% (1.5%), for production of food, beverages and tobacco products - 11.2% (11, 5%), enterprises for the production of chemical products, rubber and plastic products - 7.9% (1.6%).
At the same time, in the manufacturing industry, as compared with the corresponding period of last year, the production of trucks increased by 2.6 times, passenger cars - by 51.3%, automobile engines - by 64.1%, buses - 2.1 times, diesel fuel - by 4.0%, wheels of the running gear, their parts and accessories - by 3.6 p., radiators, silencers for noise and exhaust pipes, clutches, steering wheels, steering columns, crankcases of steering mechanisms and their parts - by 31.6%.
The overhaul of the technological equipment allowed to increase the capacity utilization of chemical enterprises and to exceed the previous year’s production figures for potassium chloride (13.7% by January – February 2018), carbamide (26.5%), ammonium sulfate (47.4% ), ammonium nitrate (28.9%), paints and varnishes based on acrylic or vinyl polymers (45.0%), herbicides (37.3%), caustic soda (184.3%), other nitrogen fertilizers and their mixtures (in 6.0 p.), mineral fertilizers containing nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (1.6 p.).
The volume of products produced by the enterprises of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning amounted to 3.7 trillion soums (8.4% of the total industry).
In this industry in January-February 2019, compared with the corresponding period of last year, the production, transmission and distribution of electricity, steam supply systems and air conditioning increased by 7.4%.
The volume of products produced by water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal enterprises amounted to 363.0 billion soums (0.8% of the total industry).
Compared with the corresponding period of last year, there is an increase in recycled materials containing aluminum (2.1 times), recycled materials containing copper (2.9 times), services for emptying, cleaning and processing cesspools, septic tanks and septic tanks (3.0 times), services for treatment and distribution of water through pipelines (by 41.1%), services for disposal, transportation of wastewater and their treatment (by 52.8%), services for the collection of non-hazardous waste (60.3%).
As a result of measures taken to expand the range and stimulate the production of finished products, consumer goods production made up 12.8 trillion soums and, compared with the corresponding period of 2018, increased by 20.8%, the share in the total industry amounted to 29.0%.
Compared to the same period of 2018, in the structure of consumer goods in January-February 2019 there was an increase in the share of production of non-food products from 67.0% to 68.8%.
In the structure of food production, the production of wine-vodka products and beer was 7.2% (8.6% in January-February 2018).
During the reporting period, enterprises with foreign investment produced goods for 15.9 trillion soums.
The share of products of enterprises with foreign investments in the total volume of production amounted to 36.1%.
In the total volume of products of enterprises with foreign investments, the share of mining and quarrying enterprises reached 22.3%, manufacturing industry - 77.6%.
In the structure of industrial output of the republic, the largest share falls on Tashkent region (15.8% of the republican industry), Tashkent city (15.1%), Navoi (13.8%), Andijan (10.6%), Kashkadarya (6.8%) and Ferghana (5.7%) regions.
The consistent implementation of measures to increase industrial potential of the regions contributed to a significant increase in industrial production in Andijan (23.8% compared to January-February 2018), Samarkand (+17.2%), Khorezm (+14.3%), Tashkent (+7.3% ) and Namangan (+6.6%) regions.
At the same time, there was a significant increase in the production of consumer goods in Andijan (+60.7% compared to January-February 2018), Khorezm (+28.4%), Syrdarya (+11.1%), Ferghana (+7.8%),% and Surkhandarya (+6.8%) regions.
At the same time, it should be noted that the largest share of consumer goods was produced in Andijan region (28.6% of the total consumer goods of the republic), Tashkent city (20.2%), Samarkand (8.2%) and Tashkent (7.6 %) regions.
Analysis of the differentiation of industrial output per capita showed an excess of the average national indicator (1.33 million soums) in Navoi region (6.3 million soums), Tashkent (2.67 million soums), Tashkent (2.41 million soums) and Andijan (1.54 million soums) regions.
Production of consumer goods per capita in the reporting period in the republic was 388,600 soums, including in Andijan region – 1.2 million soums, Tashkent city – 1.04 million soums, Khorezm region – 367,700 soums, Syrdarya region – 360,600 soums, Navoi region – 353,400 soums and Tashkent region – 338,100 soums.
During the reporting period, small businesses produced goods to 11.9 trillion soums. The share of small business in the total production amounted to 27.0%.
In the regions, the largest share of small business was observed in Tashkent (71.1% of the total industry of the region), Namangan (62.0%), Jizzakh (50.1%), Samarkand (43.7%), Surkhandarya (42.7%), Syrdarya (32.7%) and Ferghana (29.2%) regions. At the same time, the smallest share of small business in the regions was noted in Navoi region (9.1%), the Republic of Karakalpakstan (14.2%), Kashkadarya (14.5%) and Andijan (16.5%) regions.
Currently, 60,800 industrial enterprises operate in the republic, of which 13,900 (22.9% of the total number of operating enterprises) are in Tashkent, 6,700 (11.0%) - in Ferghana, 6,100 (10.1%) - in Tashkent region.
In January-February 2019, 4,623 industrial enterprises were created in the republic, of which more than 54.1% were in Tashkent city, Bukhara, Tashkent, Samarkand and Ferghana regions.
