Portuguese striker joins Pakhtakor Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Tashkent-based club Pakhtakor signed the Portuguese striker Esmaël Gonçalves, the press service of the club said in a statement.

According to the club, the forward signed a two-year agreement with the Uzbek club.

Esmaël Gonçalves was part of academy of Portuguese club Boavista. In various years, he played for such clubs as Nice (France), Saint-Mirren (Scotland), APOEL (Cyprus), Veria (Greece), Anorthosis (Cyprus), Al-Ittifaq (Saudi Arabia) and " earts "(Scotland).

Gonçalves won the League Cup of Scotland with the Saint-Mirren and the Cyprus Super Cup with APOEL.
