Photo: UN Secretary General pays official visit to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
The Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon paid an official visit to Uzbekistan on 11-12 June 2015.
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov received the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon at the Kuksaroy residence on 12 June.
At the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and UN institutions, along with regional and international affairs.
The UN chief also met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov and visited Bukhara, where he got familiar with the historical monuments and modern buildings of the city.
