Nordwind to Launch Flights from Kazan to Samarkand and Namangan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Russian airline Nordwind will launch direct flights from Kazan to Samarkand on 26 August and to Namangan from 5 September.

The new routes will expand air connectivity between Tatarstan and Uzbekistan, the airline’s press service said.

The first flight from Kazan to Samarkand is scheduled for 26 August. From 5 September, the carrier will also operate flights to Namangan.

Nordwind said interest among Russian tourists in Uzbekistan is growing.

After launching regular flights between Kazan and Tashkent, the airline decided to expand its route network by adding two more Uzbek cities.

The new routes will be available not only to residents of Tatarstan. Passengers from Moscow and St. Petersburg will be able to travel to Samarkand and Namangan with a connection at Kazan’s Gabdulla Tukay Airport.
