Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — From 1 September 2026, Uzbek citizens over the age of 18 staying in Moscow or the Moscow Region without a visa for more than 90 days for purposes other than employment will be required to register through the Amina app.

The new rules will also apply to students and adult family members of labor migrants.

To register for migration purposes, a foreign national will be required to register in the app, consent to the processing of personal data and the transfer of geolocation information, and notify the Ministry of Internal Affairs of their actual place of residence.

If the residential address changes, the information must be updated within three working days. If the app fails to transmit geolocation data for more than three working days, the foreign national may be removed from the migration register.

If there are no legal grounds for the foreign national to remain in Russia, their information may be entered into the register of controlled persons.

The requirement does not apply to foreigners under 18, citizens of Belarus, diplomats, employees of consulates and international organizations, or their family members.
