Namangan Region Presents New Investment Projects at TIIF

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum has begun in Tashkent, bringing together representatives of international business, investors, financial institutions, and development organizations at a single platform.

A delegation from the Namangan region led by Hokim Shavkatjon Abdurazzakov is actively participating in the event.

As part of the forum, talks were held with Muhammad Karim Hashimi, Chairman of the Afghanistan Chamber of Trade and Investment, focusing on the development of trade and investment cooperation.

An agreement was reached with Italian company Gamma Meccanica to complete by the end of the current year a project for the production of basalt-based products in the Chust district and to launch a second phase of a project for the production of sandwich panels.

A memorandum was signed with Chinese company Shenzhen Jin Chi Hung, with three areas of cooperation agreed upon totaling US$635 million.

Prospects for cooperation in the field of information technology were discussed with US company Silk Road Professionals USA.

Preliminary agreements were reached with Chinese company Dong Huang on establishing production facilities for construction materials, chemical products, and service infrastructure facilities. With Good Crop, projects were agreed upon for the cultivation and processing of sweet potatoes in the Uychi district for export.

Initiatives for waste processing and construction materials production were discussed with Guangxi Dachuan Ecological Technology.

With Malaysian company Spora Global, agreements were reached on the creation of a tourism complex in the Chartak district, while with Russian company Pharmasyntez, plans were discussed for the production of pharmaceutical products in the “Kosonsoy-Pharm” special economic zone.

The Hokim of the region also held talks with representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), where the concept of creating modern “smart cities” was discussed.

In total, around 30 meetings were held with foreign companies and business representatives during the day.

The forum is seen as a key platform for presenting Uzbekistan’s investment potential, establishing new partnerships, and attracting modern technologies to the region.
