Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation from Uzbekistan’s Namangan Region, led by Governor Shavkatjon Abdurazzakov, visited Italian company Bonifiche Ferraresi, part of the BF Group agribusiness group, during a working trip to Italy.
The company was originally established to drain marshlands in the Ferrara area and prepare the land for agricultural use. It has since become part of a major agribusiness group operating in modern agriculture.
During talks, representatives of Namangan Region and Bonifiche Ferraresi discussed opportunities to establish modern agro-industrial complexes in the region and implement joint investment projects.
Areas under consideration included the cultivation and processing of agricultural products, the development of high-yield seed production, the introduction of precision farming technologies and the training of local specialists.
The meeting focused on opportunities to apply Italian expertise and technology to develop the agricultural sector in Namangan Region.
