MTS Uzbekistan attracts 210,000 new subscribers

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Subscriber base of MTS Uzbekistan grew by 3.2% in May 2009 compared to April 2009, Russia’s Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) said in a statement.

The company said its Uzbek subsidiary attracted 210,000 new subscribers in May. As of 31 May 2009, the subscribers’ base of MTS Uzbekistan reached 6.51 million.

MTS Uzbekistan is former Uzdunrobita and it is largest mobile operator of Uzbekistan on terms of subscribers’ number.
