Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will make a two-day visit to the Republic of Karakalpakstan, presidential press secretary Sherzod Asadov said.
During the visit, the head of state will review projects in key sectors and hold a meeting on priority tasks for the comprehensive development of the region.
The trip's programme includes reviewing projects in industry, agriculture, education, healthcare, transport, tourism and sport. The president will also review work on ensuring employment for the population and improving mahallas.
A number of new facilities are planned to be commissioned during the visit, and construction of new projects is due to be launched.
A separate meeting will be devoted to the next priority tasks for the comprehensive development of Karakalpakstan.
