Legislative Chamber passes law on social service in second reading

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan passed the law “On social services for elders, people with disabilities and other socially vulnerable categories of population” in the second reading.

The responsible committee focused on opinion and proposals of factions of political parties and MPs during the preparation of the document to the second reading, the press service of the lower house of the parliament said.

During the discussion, the MPs said that adoption of the law, as well as monitoring and assessment of rendering social services will help to improve social protection of population and make social protection system open for public control.

The document will help to development of civil society institute and role of self-governing bodies.

After discussions, the MPs passed the law.
