Leasing deals for 484bn soums inked in Uzbekistan in 2011

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Over 6,000 leasing deals worth 484 billion soums were signed in Uzbekistan in 2011, a session of the Uzbekistan Lessors Association said.

Aggregate leasing operations portfolio exceeded 1.25 trillion soums. The volume of leasing services grew by 10% year-on-year in 2011.

According to the Association, 84 lessors operated in Uzbekistan in 2011, of which 44 were leasing companies, 21 – commercial banks and 19 – other companies. Some 67.1% of leasing deals fell to share of leasing companies and 32.9% - to commercial banks.

The association said that 30.9% of deals fell to share of agriculture equipment, 30.1% - technologic equipment, 24.8% - vehicles, and 14.2% - to real estate.

It is expected that the volume of leasing deals will make up 542.6 billion soums, while forecasted total leasing operations portfolio will reach 1.44 trillion soums.
