Kuwait Seeks to Expand Labour Migration Cooperation with Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and Kuwait have discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the field of labour migration. The issue was discussed by Bekhzod Musayev, Director of Uzbekistan's Migration Agency, and Turki Khalid Hamad Al-Mikrod, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to Uzbekistan.

The meeting focused on the training and recruitment of qualified specialists from Uzbekistan to work in Kuwait's labour market.

The discussions covered employment opportunities in healthcare, the service sector, engineering and electrical engineering, as well as the need to define requirements for prospective employers more clearly.

The Kuwaiti ambassador said he highly values the system established in Uzbekistan to prepare specialists for employment abroad. He added that cooperation with the Migration Agency is important for strengthening bilateral ties.

"I highly appreciate the system established in your country to prepare specialists for employment abroad. Cooperation with the Migration Agency is also of great importance to us. I will be pleased to contribute to strengthening cooperation between Kuwait and Uzbekistan in the field of labour migration," Turki Khalid Hamad Al-Mikrod said.
