Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Pomegranates grown in Kuva district of Ferghana region are continuing to expand their presence in international markets. As the new export season gets underway, another shipment of the produce has been sent to South Korea.
Recently, Rich Farm Ekspo LLC exported 9 tonnes of Kuva pomegranates. The products are currently available at major retail stores in South Korea.
Kuva district has many years of experience in pomegranate cultivation and established production traditions. Local produce is in demand due to its taste, appearance and quality.
Early pomegranate varieties are currently ripening in the district, marking the start of the export season. Particular attention is being paid to sorting, packaging and ensuring high-quality deliveries to foreign buyers.
The development of pomegranate production is becoming one of the factors supporting the district’s economic growth. The sector contributes to employment, higher household incomes and expanded export opportunities for local producers.
Supplies to South Korea are creating new opportunities for Kuva’s growers to enter foreign markets and demonstrate the competitiveness of local pomegranates internationally.
