Khorezm Expands Dairy Production with $11M Facility

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the new US$11 million processing complex of the Tillo Domor enterprise in the Urgench district of the Khorezm region, UzDaily.uz reported.

The facility has an annual production capacity reaching 100 billion soums and utilizes modern technological equipment imported from Bulgaria. It produces over 70 types of dairy products, including cheese, cream, sour cream, cottage cheese, qatiq, and kefir. Raw milk is purchased daily from more than 100 farms and local residents, providing a stable sales market for local livestock owners.

The complex currently employs 120 people, with plans to create an additional 100 jobs and expand its product range. Additionally, 100 kW solar panels have been installed on the enterprise's territory.

Khorezm region currently operates around 1,200 processing enterprises. Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of increasing high-value-added output through deep processing of local raw materials, ensuring a stable resource supply for processing facilities, and expanding production volume. Responsible officials received instructions to support entrepreneurial initiatives across the agricultural processing sector.
