Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Construction of a modern livestock complex valued at US$35 million has begun in the Kasansay district of Uzbekistan's Namangan region, according to the press service of the Kasansay district khokimiyat.

The project provides for the establishment of facilities capable of housing up to 15,000 head of cattle simultaneously.

Kasansay district was designated a specialized territory for livestock farming under Decree No. 179 of the President of Uzbekistan, dated 12 May 2026. As part of the tasks outlined in the document, a groundbreaking ceremony was held in the Yangi Uzbekistan mahalla for the complex, which is being realized by LLC Namangan Chorva Invest Holding.

The facility will be located on a site covering 14.7 hectares, with approximately 30 percent of the total land area planned for green space.

Scheduled for implementation from 2026 to 2028, the project includes creating modern infrastructure for livestock production, expanding pedigree breeding, and introducing advanced agricultural technologies into the sector.

The governor of Namangan region, Shavkatjon Abdurazzakov, members of the older generation, industry specialists, and local residents attended the groundbreaking event.

Prior to the start of construction, a traditional sacrifice was performed, followed by prayers from village elders wishing for the successful completion of the venture, after which construction officially commenced.

The implementation of the project is expected to provide an additional impetus to the development of livestock farming in Kasansay district, create new jobs, and contribute to income growth among the local population.
