Industrial output of Uzbekistan makes up 13.265trln soums in 1H

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The industrial output of Uzbekistan was 13.265 trillion soums in January-June 2009or grew by 9.1% year-on-year, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

In the reporting period, the country produced consumer goods worth 3.986 trillion soums (up 13.1%year-on-year). Out of them food products were produced for 1.717 trillion soums (up 7.9% year-on-year) and non-food products for 2.269 trillion soums (up 17.3%).

Fuel industry produced 22.8% (18.8% in Jan-Jun 2008) of industrial output of Uzbekistan in the reporting period. Machine building and metal working (15.1%), light industry (13.3%), non-ferrous metallurgy (11.1%) and food industry (10.9%) followed the fuel industry.
