Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- In January-June 2022, leather and footwear products for 2.3 trillion. soums were produced in Uzbekistan.

It is noted that during this period, the production of more than 5 types of products that were not previously produced in the republic was launched. 

In the first six months of this year, the industry has mastered twice the planned amount of investments - in the amount of US$16.5 million, 24 new projects worth US$35.1 million have been implemented.

As a result of the launch of 24 new projects in the industry, new capacities worth 375 billion soums and 1,280 new jobs have been created.
