Edelweiss Resort & SPA Opens in Samarkand Region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Edelweiss Resort & SPA tourist complex has begun operations in Samarkand District. The new facility, located in the village of Mironkul, was commissioned in the lead-up to the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence.

The complex spans an area of 40 hectares.

It comprises a 160-bed hotel, rooms across various categories, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a SPA and wellness center, medical and preventive treatment rooms, as well as walking areas.

According to project organizers, the complex is capable of accommodating up to 500 visitors daily.

With the launch of the complex, 150 permanent jobs have been created.

As part of the project's implementation, a four-kilometer access road leading to the tourist site was paved, and a new bridge was constructed. Over 50,000 ornamental trees and shrubs were planted on the grounds.

To ensure irrigation, a 15-kilometer water pipeline was laid from a natural spring, alongside the installation of a drip irrigation system.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the regional and district administrations, the tourism sector, and the public.

Event participants noted that the implementation of such projects contributes to the development of the region's tourism infrastructure, the expansion of the service sector, job creation, and economic growth.
