Huawei Digital Week 2026 Drives Digital Transformation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From April 20 to 24, 2026, Huawei is hosting its annual Digital Week 2026 at its office in Tashkent, showcasing advanced solutions in telecommunications, digital governance, industrial modernization, and social sector transformation.
Throughout the week, guided sessions are organized for industry leaders, specialists, and media representatives under the overarching theme “Advancing All Intelligence.”
Amid the rapid evolution of intelligent technologies, special emphasis is placed on developing modern ICT infrastructure capable of delivering high-speed connectivity and advanced computing power.
At the event, the company presents current industry trends, innovative products, and solutions focused on building AI-centric network architectures, alongside practical case studies demonstrating the deployment of intelligent networks.
Digital Week traditionally serves as a platform for presenting technologies previously showcased at the Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona. This year’s event brings together more than 400 participants, including telecom operators, internet service providers, corporate and government representatives, as well as media professionals from Uzbekistan.
For the telecommunications sector, a key focus is placed on the development of AI-Centric Networks, which integrate artificial intelligence across all layers—from services to network infrastructure. These solutions are designed to improve operational efficiency, enhance service quality, and create new revenue streams while adapting infrastructure to the era of large-scale AI adoption.
For government and enterprise sectors, Huawei presents solutions aimed at accelerating digital transformation in education, healthcare, transport, and banking. Participants are introduced to international best practices in digitalization and technology implementation.
A dedicated segment of the program focuses on the media sector, including data storage solutions, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity. During a specialized media session, the company also presented its 2025 performance results, noting that research and development investment accounted for 21.8% of annual revenue.
Significant attention is given to strengthening the local partner ecosystem and educational initiatives. Huawei ICT Academy programs are currently implemented in 20 universities across Uzbekistan, providing students with access to modern knowledge and international certification. It was also announced that two Uzbek teams will participate in the global final of the Huawei ICT Competition, scheduled for June 2026 in Shenzhen.
The company also supports the national initiative for training artificial intelligence specialists by offering educational courses on the aileaders.uz platform, including programs in AI, cloud computing, and big data analytics.
Huawei has been operating in Uzbekistan for more than 26 years and, starting from 2026, has been designated as a regional office coordinating the company’s activities across Central Asia and the Caucasus.
These initiatives contribute to the development of the digital economy and strengthen Uzbekistan’s position as one of the region’s emerging technology hubs.
