Huawei builds 3G network in Uzbekistan for Vimpelcom

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Huawei Technologies built a new generation (3G) network in Uzbekistan for Vimpelcom’s subsidiary in Uzbekistan, Unitel, Chinese company said in a statement on 4 December.

Unitel LLC launched a commercial 3G network, the company said in a statement on 3 December. The 3G network of Unitel, rendering mobile communication services under the Beeline trademark in the territory of Uzbekistan, will provide high data transfer speed and load multimedia content (up to 3.6 Mbit/s), as well as opportunity to make video calls, the statement said.

Huawei Technologies said the Unitel network covers Tashkent and central districts of the Uzbek capital city.
