Glass industry produces products for 190.7 billion soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Glass industry of Uzbekistan produced goods worth 190.7 billion soums in the first half of 2014, which rose by 20.5% year-on-year.

The State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said that the country increased production of safe glass (shatterproof) by 8.9% year-on-year in the reporting period.

The enterprises also increased output of preserving jars, stoppers, lids and other closures of glass by 15,2%, bottles - 33.7%, glass containers for the pharmaceutical industry - 3.6 times.
