Free Heart Screening Launched at INNOPROM Expo
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A social initiative focused on early diagnosis and prevention of cardiovascular diseases has been launched at the international industrial exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia,” held at CAEx Uzbekistan.
The project is implemented with the support of the Uzatom Agency and the Infarct Foundation. A mobile diagnostic center has been set up at the exhibition venue, allowing all visitors to undergo cardiovascular examinations.
From 20 to 22 April, the campaign provides comprehensive medical screening, including electrocardiography, ultrasound imaging of the heart vessels, computed tomography, blood glucose and cholesterol testing, as well as consultations with cardiologists and endocrinologists from Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation.
The initiative is linked to a broader project to establish a multidisciplinary medical center in the Farish district of the Jizzakh region, which will become part of a future nuclear energy city development.
The project aims to advance modern healthcare infrastructure, with a focus on preventive and diagnostic medicine, as well as the development of a digital health monitoring system for the population.
During the event, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich visited the diagnostic facility, where he reviewed its operations and highlighted the importance of such initiatives for strengthening public healthcare systems.
The main objective of the project is the early detection of cardiovascular risks, improving access to medical diagnostics, and promoting a culture of health awareness among the population.
