Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Guinea-Bissau discuss cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Communities of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, Fatoumata Jau.

The sides discussed prospects for developing bilateral cooperation and further strengthening their political dialogue.

As the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan reported, special attention during the conversation was paid to creating a mechanism for regular political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries, as well as expanding the legal framework of bilateral cooperation.

The ministers also exchanged views on further interaction within the framework of the United Nations (UN) and the Non-Aligned Movement.

Following the telephone conversation, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to continuing an active dialogue aimed at developing friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Guinea-Bissau, as well as expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
