Negotiations between leaders of Uzbekistan and Georgia begin in Tbilisi

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — An official welcoming ceremony for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, took place at the Orbeliani Palace, the residence of the President of Georgia in Tbilisi.

The Uzbek head of state was welcomed by Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili. In honor of the official visit, the national flags of both countries were raised in the square outside the residence, and a guard of honor was lined up.

During the ceremony, the national anthems of Uzbekistan and Georgia were played. Accompanied by a military band, the two leaders inspected the guard of honor and greeted the members of the official delegations.

Following the ceremony, the heads of state took an official joint photograph.

High-level negotiations between Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili are currently underway in Tbilisi.
