Foreign Companies in Uzbekistan by Industry Sectors

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 April 2026, there are 19,072 enterprises with foreign capital operating in Uzbekistan, according to the National Statistics Committee.

The largest concentration of such companies is in the trade sector, where 6,814 enterprises are active. A significant share also operates in industry, with 3,831 companies.

In the construction sector, 1,544 enterprises with foreign investment are registered, while 1,488 companies operate in the information and communications sector. The accommodation and food services sector includes 839 companies, and transportation and storage accounts for 601 enterprises.

In addition, 485 enterprises are active in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, while 225 operate in healthcare and social services. A further 3,245 companies conduct business in other sectors of the economy.

Overall, the distribution of foreign-invested enterprises shows a clear concentration in trade and industry, which remain the leading areas of foreign business activity in Uzbekistan.
