Food products’ output in Uzbekistan increases by 1.688 trln. soums

Enterprises of food industry of Uzbekistan produced goods for 1.688 trillion soums in January-March 2013, which grew by 6.2% year-on-year, the information service of the State Statistics Committee said.
The committee said that production of milk and milk products grew by 58.9% year-on-year in January-March, butter – by 44.2%, edible oil – by 22.3%. Uzbekistan increased production of bread by 18.2%, margarine products – by 11.4% and laundry soap – by 5.1%.
Uzbekistan also increased output of macaroni products by 54.3%, cereals by 35.5 times, ice cream by 2.3 times and mineral water – by 30.9%.
The production of grape wine rose by 9.4% in January-March 2013, alcohol – by 7.1%, vodka and alcoholic beverage products – by 6.2% and Champaign – 4.6%.
