Fire Breaks Out at Aviator Store in Tashkent, All Citizens Evacuated
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 31 January at 15:47, Tashkent’s fire and rescue service received a report of a fire at the Aviator store located on Parkent Street in the Yashnabad district, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan reported.
Rescue units arrived at the scene at 15:53.
All citizens have been evacuated, and firefighting operations are currently underway. The situation is fully under the control of the Tashkent City Fire and Rescue Department. No injuries have been reported as a result of the incident.
Fire suppression efforts are being carried out under the direct supervision of the Minister of Emergency Situations, Major General Azizbek Ikramov.
According to the Korzinka press service, the seat of the fire was located on the second floor of the shopping and entertainment center building.
The company уточнила that the Korzinka Aviator supermarket is located on the ground floor of the mall and operates on a lease basis, while the building itself is not owned by the company. The fire broke out outside the supermarket’s premises.
“Immediately after the fire was detected, all prescribed safety protocols were activated. Customers and store employees were promptly evacuated. There were no injuries among the supermarket’s staff or visitors,” Korzinka said in a statement.
