Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Production of jewellery is set to expand in Uzbekistan's Ferghana region through the development of the Baku Oltin joint venture.
The project's development prospects were discussed at a meeting between Ferghana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov and Mushfig Ibragimzade, the company's founder and a Turkish investor.
The two sides considered plans to increase production volumes, expand the product range and further develop the enterprise.
Baku Oltin currently manufactures import-substituting products that are in demand on the domestic market, the meeting was told.
The company's future plans include introducing new types of jewellery, increasing production capacity, creating additional jobs and establishing exports.
Khayrullo Bozorov said the regional administration was ready to support mutually beneficial investment projects and provide practical assistance in implementing the planned initiatives.
