Ferghana and Perm Region Expand Economic Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Deputy governor of Uzbekistan’s Ferghana region, Nuriddin Mamadjonov, held a meeting with a delegation of entrepreneurs from Russia’s Perm Krai to discuss prospects for expanding regional cooperation.
During the talks, it was noted that the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Russia continues to develop consistently, while open dialogue at the highest level contributes to strengthening interregional ties.
The Uzbek side presented information on the industrial potential of Ferghana region, its export capabilities, and measures supporting small businesses and private entrepreneurship.
The discussions focused on prospects for industrial cooperation with Perm Krai, including joint projects in construction, education, and the textile industry, as well as increasing export volumes.
Special attention was given to expanding cooperation between chambers of commerce, establishing direct contacts between business communities, and holding regular business forums, B2B meetings, and exhibitions.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to further utilize existing potential, develop joint projects, and deepen practical cooperation between the regions.
