Fed Cup: Uzbekistan loses to Japan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan national women’s tennis team lost to Japan with the score 3-0 in the Asia/Oceania Zone Group 1 of Fed Cup.

Eri Hozumi defeated Akgul Amanmuradova with the score 6:3 and 6:3, while Nigina Abduraimova was beaten mu Miskai Doi with the score 6:2, 0:6 and 3:6.

In the pair’s match, Sabina Sharipova and Arina Folts lost to Shuko Aoyama and Eri Hozumi in straight sets 4:6 and 4:6.

Uzbekistan finished on the third place and will face Thailand on 7 February in the match for the fifth-sixth places.
