Eximbank of China issues US$41.5m to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Export-Import Bank of China issued US$41.5 million to Uzbekistan for purchase of equipment.

Eximbank of China and Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan signed a corresponding agreement. The resources will be used to purchase 30 dredgers from China.

The loan issued for 30 years with five year grace period. The loan issued within the second credit line of China to the members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

The equipment will be used to cleaning of Amudarya river-bed and adjacent channels to improve water supply to northern-western regions of Uzbekistan – Karakalpakstan Republic and Khorezm region.
