Earthquake hits Uzbekistan on 4 January

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An earthquake with magnitude of 2-3 points was registered in Uzbekistan at 01:24 a.m. on 4 January 2009.

The epicenter was 500 kilometers from Tashkent to the South-Eastern direction at Afghanistan territory. The magnitude of earthquake at the epicenter, Hindu Kush mountains, was 5.9 points.
