Diyora Keldiyorova Documentary Trailer Nominated for Golden Trailer Awards 2026
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A project from Uzbekistan has been nominated in the “Best Foreign Documentary Trailer” category at the Golden Trailer Awards 2026, where it will compete with works from leading global film studios. The nomination is considered one of the most prestigious recognitions in the field of film marketing and promotion.
Over the years, winners of the award have included trailers for major Hollywood productions, including Marvel Studios films, works by Christopher Nolan, and original Netflix projects. In 2026, the inclusion of a Uzbek creative team in the nominee list has become one of the notable events of the current award season.
The film “Diyora. Soft Path” is a documentary exploration of the sporting journey of Diyora Keldiyorova, who became the first woman in the history of Uzbekistan to win a gold medal at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris in 2024. The film presents her personal story, athletic development, and path to Olympic success.
The project was created by the MOC Creative Production Center with support from Kinopoisk and Yandex Uzbekistan. It was directed by Sardor Kazi. According to the creators, the film became one of the most discussed documentary releases of 2025 and attracted significant audience attention due to its combination of a sports theme and an auteur storytelling approach.
The nomination of the trailer in an international competition is regarded as recognition of the Uzbek team’s level in film production and marketing, as well as one of the first cases in which a project about an Uzbek athlete has reached such a high international level in the film promotion industry.
