Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs travels to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs and Senior Director of Communications and Public Diplomacy in the office of the Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Eileen O’Connor, will travel to Uzbekistan on 15-20 April 2014.

Deputy Assistant Secretary O’Connor will meet with government and education leaders in Tashkent to discuss bilateral and regional issues, including cooperation in the sphere of education, in furtherance of the US policy to broaden and deepen the US – Uzbekistan relationship.

She will also hold internal consultations with US government officials, the Embassy of the United States in Uzbekistan said.
