Denis Istomin reaches second round of French Open

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan reached the second round of the French Open on Monday, 25 May 2009.

Istomin defeated Colombia’s Giraldo Santiago 6/3, 7/6 (2/7), 6/3 and 7/6 (7/4) in the first round of the French Open.

Uzbekistan’s No. 1 Denis Istomin will face Robin Soderling (Swetzerland) in the second round of the tournament.

Robin Soderling outplayed Kevin Kim (USA) in straight sets 7/6, 7/6 and 6/2.
