Denis Istomin loses to Sam Querrey in Washington

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomin completed his participation at Citi Open in Washington (United States) with the prize fund of US$1.3 milion.

In the second round of the tournament Denis Istomin lost to Sam Querrey of the United States in three sets 4:6, 6:3, 7:6(9).

The match lasted an hour and 52 minutes. Denis Istomin recorded one break point and six aces. He committed nine double faults.

Sam Querrey registered a break point and served eighteen aces. He also committed nine double faults. During the third set, Denis Istomin had several match balls, but he could not clinch them.
