Davis Cup: Uzbekistan loses to India

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan lost to India in the second round of the of the Group I Asia/Oceania Zone of Davis Cup.

The match ended with the score 4:1. Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomin could not help his team due to injury.

In the first rubber Temur Ismailov lost to Ramkumar Ramanathan with the score 2:6, 7:5, 2:6 and 5:7, while Sandjar Fayziev in the second rubber was beaten by Prajnesh Gunneswaran with the score 5:7, 6:3, 3:6 and 4:6.

In the third rubber, Farrukh Dustov and Sanjar Fayziev lost to N.Sriram Balaji and Rohan Bopanna with the score 2:6, 4:6 and 1:6.

On Sunday, Ramkumar Ramanathan defeated Sanjar Fayziev with the score 6:3 and 6:2, while Temur Ismailov outplayed Исмаилов Prajnesh Gunneswaran with the score 7:5 and 6:3.
