Construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway may begin in the near future
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said that construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway could begin in the near future.
He noted that the project will pay off in 35-40 years and will make Central Asia a transit hub for Chinese goods.
Preparations for construction began in 2022, and countries are considering alternative financing routes without resorting to external borrowing.
