Citizen of Uzbekistan arrested in Kyrgyzstan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A citizen of Uzbekistan has been arrested in Kyrgyzstan on suspicion in complicity in international terrorist activities, the press centre of the State Committee of National Security of Kyrgyzstan (KNB) informed "Kazakhstan Today" agency.

According to KNB, the arrested person is a suspect of the earlier criminal cases instigated by the investigation bodies of KNB of Kyrgyzstan. The information regarding the arrested person will not be disclosed in the interests of the investigation.

As informed earlier, two special operations on neutralization of insurgents were carried out in Kyrgyzstan in the end of July, 2009. Nine terrorists and one KNB officer were killed during the operations.
