Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek airline Centrum Air has launched direct flights between Tashkent and Perm, the carrier’s press service said.

The first flight on the new route was operated as part of the airline’s autumn program to expand its route network. Centrum Air said Perm had become its latest new destination.

Flights between Tashkent and Perm will operate on Mondays, with fares starting from 2.1 million soums, or about US$177.8.

The launch of the route was marked by a traditional water-cannon salute for the inaugural flight. The airline published photographs of the ceremony alongside its announcement of the new service.

Centrum Air also highlighted Perm’s tourism potential. The company said that following improvements carried out in 2023, the city is suitable not only for business trips but also for tourism.

The new route is part of an expansion of direct air links between Uzbekistan and Russia’s regions.

Centrum Air previously announced the launch of flights from Tashkent to Yekaterinburg and Ufa.
