Cameras Catch 192 Drivers Without Licenses

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A total of 192 cases of vehicle operation by individuals without a valid driver’s license or who had been deprived of driving privileges have been recorded in Uzbekistan through surveillance camera systems.

The highest number of violations was detected in Khorezm region, where 60 cases were registered, followed by Tashkent city with 40 cases.

According to official data, fines equivalent to 50 times the base calculation unit were imposed in 32 cases, amounting to 20.6 million Uzbek soums. In another 31 cases, offenders were fined five times the base calculation unit, totaling 2.06 million soums.

Authorities stated that such violations are identified using surveillance cameras capable of detecting instances of driving without proper authorization.
