During the negotiations, the parties discussed key areas for the further development of Belarusian-Uzbek cooperation, paying special attention to industrial cooperation, interaction in the agro-industrial complex, and the implementation of new joint investment projects.

Aleksandr Turchin noted that the upcoming visit of the head of Uzbekistan will be one of the most important events in bilateral relations.

According to him, the III Forum of Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan will take place within the framework of the visit, serving as a platform for concluding new commercial agreements, signing interregional documents, and establishing partnerships between the regions of the two countries.

Additionally, the official launch of the Days of Culture of Uzbekistan in Belarus will take place.

"We look forward to the start of the visit. A whole package of documents is ready for signing. We are setting very serious goals for ourselves," the Prime Minister of Belarus emphasized.

He expressed confidence that the visit of the President of Uzbekistan will give a new impetus to bilateral cooperation.

"I am confident that the set goal to bring mutual trade turnover to US$2 billion by 2030 will be achieved. We also expect that by the end of the current year, the volume of mutual trade will exceed US$1 billion," Aleksandr Turchin stated.

Jamshid Khodjayev thanked the Belarusian side for preparing the upcoming visit of the head of Uzbekistan and noted the scale of the Uzbek delegation's representation.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that a significant part of the work in preparation for the visit was dedicated to developing interregional cooperation.

Representatives of Uzbek regions visited enterprises and production facilities in various regions of Belarus, where they identified promising areas for interaction.

According to Khodjayev, the parties are also starting to implement new joint initiatives in the agro-industrial complex, including projects in livestock breeding and crop production.

In addition, during the negotiations, the issue of attracting labor resources was discussed. As the Deputy Prime Minister noted, if there is a corresponding need, citizens of Uzbekistan are ready to participate in the implementation of joint projects and work at enterprises in Belarus.
