Andijan region to produce agricultural machinery with Belarus tech

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The production of new types of agricultural machinery using Belarusian technologies is planned to be organized in the Andijan region.

A corresponding agreement was reached during a visit of the Andijan region delegation to Belarus. The Khokim of the region, Shukhratbek Abdurakhmanov, held talks with the head of the Belarusian company LidaTechmash LLC, Aleksandr Trukhanovich, at the enterprise located in the Lida district of the Grodno region.

The parties discussed expanding the production of agricultural machinery in the Andijan region and establishing new manufacturing capacities.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to implement a joint project for the production of affordable and compact machinery for orchards and farms, as well as modern agricultural machines designed for planting and harvesting potatoes.

The implementation of the project is expected to supply the region's agricultural sector with modern and affordable equipment, increase the level of mechanization for agricultural work, and boost labor productivity in the industry.

The project marks another step in developing industrial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus in the field of agricultural engineering.
