Basaksehir complete €2.8 mln deal for Shomurodov

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Istanbul Basaksehir have activated the buyout option for Eldor Shomurodov, completing his permanent transfer from AS Roma.

Under the agreement between the clubs, the transfer fee amounts to €2.8 million. At the same time, the estimated market value of the 30-year-old striker is around €7 million.

Shomurodov joined Basaksehir in the summer of 2025 on loan with an option to buy, which the Turkish side has now exercised ahead of schedule. His contract with Roma had been set to run until 2027.

As part of the deal, Roma will retain a 10% sell-on clause for any future transfer of the player. It is also reported that the initial loan fee amounted to €3 million.

During the current season, Shomurodov has delivered strong performances in the Turkish top division, scoring 18 goals and providing 4 assists in 30 league appearances.
