Ardus defeats European champions in friendly

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Ardus played the first of two planned friendly matches against Qayrat Almaty in Tashkent on 18 August and clinched a 3-2 victory of the European Champions, Uzbekistan Football Federation said.

Kazakh side opened the score on five seconds. Brazil’s Leo opened the score in the match. On 7 minutes, Shukhrat Tajibaev netted the equalizer.

Both teams continued to attack, but they could not convert chances to goals. In the second half, Dilshod Irsaliev and Artur Yunusov scored two more goals. Fumasi netted the second goals for European Champions.

Ardus and Qayrat will play another friendly match in Tashkent on 19 August. It will kick off at 17:30.
